      Collagen hydrogel has gained wide attention and application in medical fields such as cartilage and bone tissue engineering, biological filled materials, wound repair, drug sustained release and cell culture because of its excellent biocompatibility and biological properties. This paper emphatically introduces the collagen hydrogel in the progress of cartilage and bone tissue engineering, elaborates the performance, crosslinking methods and types of the collagen hydrogel, discusses the research status and predicts the future of the application of collagen hydrogel in cartilage and bone tissue engineering.
