Objective To observe the clinical effect of absorbable suture anchor in the treatment of Danis-Weber A type lateral malleolus fracture. Methods From January 2016 to June 2018, 18 patients with Danis-Weber A type lateral malleolus fracture caused by sprain were treated by surgical operation with absorbable suture anchors. The score of VAS and the score of AOFAS were compared before and after operation. The curative effect was evaluated, the excellent and good rate was calculated. The complications such as infection, delayed union and nonunion were recorded and analyzed. Results All patients were followed up for 6 to 15 months, with an average of 9 months. No infection, delayed union and nonunion were found in all patients. According to the standard of AOFAS, the scores of 18 cases were 80~96 points. The average score was (87.4±2.3) points, and the curative effect was satisfactory. Conclusion The treatment of Danis-Weber A type lateral malleolus fracture with absorbable suture anchor is simple, reliable, and the function of ankle joint recovers well. It can also avoid the removal operation of internal fixator. |
